Assunta Di Lorenzo is a seasoned business lawyer and the founder of ADL LEGAL, a boutique business law practice based in Montreal.

She advises entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses, small and midsize enterprises, manufacturing companies, buyers, sellers and investors on corporate and commercial matters, including Canadian and foreign businesses doing business in Quebec and Canada.

Alongside her ADL LEGAL practice, Assunta undertakes selected mandates as a contract lawyer through MT>Align, a division of McCarthy Tétrault LLP.

Assunta’s career combines partnership experience as a corporate, commercial and securities lawyer at leading national law firms with senior in-house legal and executive roles at private companies, public-sector organizations and Crown corporation. She has extensive experience advising boards of directors, including in her capacity as corporate secretary of various entities.

Assunta has also advised highly regulated companies—including investment and fund managers, insurers, brokerage firms, pension funds, family offices, and public transport organizations—on transactions, infrastructure projects, private equity, governance and complex commercial matters.

Assunta’s combination of experience in private practice and in-house allows her to bring a broad commercial perspective to each mandate.

Fluent in English, French and Italian, with a working knowledge of Spanish, Assunta assists international businesses, seeking to establish or expand their operations in Quebec and in Canada.
